The purpose of these books is to expand teaching materials for drumset players. Each book is comprised of a series of etudes ranked in order of difficulty. The main skill areas enhanced by work on these etudes are 4-way coordination and general reading skills. Each etude is a self-contained little art object and fun to work on. The end result of absorbing these studies is a re-wiring of the brain that enables the player to understand complex relationships and coordinate all four body parts. |

My favorite way of getting these books is to go to your local music store. Music stores are places of wonderful mystery and optimism. They can order books for you. Tell them you want: Drum Set Etudes, Book 1, 2, or 3; by Joe Holmquist: published by the Neil A. Kjos Music Company. It's a major publisher, they can get it for sure. Another way of getting it is to phone Steve Weiss Music at 215-659-0100. They are accustomed to handling credit card orders over the phone. |
